Update (February 11)

TSMC will be the the exclusive manufacturer to make Apple A10 Chipset for new iPhones. Apple A10 Chip would be based on 10nm technology, Reuters reported.

Apple A9 Chipsets for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are supplied by TSMC as well as Samsung. The Chips Supplied by TSMC are based on 16nm. So TSMC has beaten Samsung’s technology making 10-nanometer Application Processor for Mobile.

Apple has filed a patent for new technology related to sound in Mobile devices and wearables. They want to make sound adjustment comfortable and easy for those who needs to adjust the sound multiple times a day due to various environment or job nature. Once it is implemented in the iPhones, it will increase or decrease the sound of notification or ring considering how loud or low background noise is. Smartphones already comes with a sensor that increase or decrease the display if you have set the brightness adjustment as automatic. In the same way, this new feature would also work. However, we don’t thing it’s coming as soon as with iPhone 7 or 7 plus, but it would be great to have such useful feature. At least my room mate won’t get angry when I receive a call or notification while he is asleep at night. ?

Update ends

iPhone 7 Dual Lens Camera

Before iPhone 7 and 7 Plus release, Apple would launch iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3, that is expected to arrive in March this year. Now coming back to iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that Apple would release in its usual time.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus dual rear camera

Various leaks and rumors claim that iPhone 7 and 7 plus would feature dual rear camera. KGI Security analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo also predicts the same, and he has a good record to providing most accurate information on Apple Products.

Another thing that makes this leak strong that Apple invested $20 million buying LinX, an Israeli camera technology company. The company focuses on multi-lens and DSLR quality camera technology, that includes dual-lens, three-lens and even four-lens. Apple also registered a patent in the US for Dual-lens tech, that the company would certainly use in future phone.

Apple multilens tech LinX

Sony CFO, Kenichiro Yoshida also mentioned in his statement that the real start for Smartphones with dual-lens camera will start in 2017. Sony is currently the largest camera lens manufacturer for smartphones. Apple is likely to keep using Sony Sensor while adding LinX dual-lens imaging tech to produce a great quality of pictures.

iPhone 7 tech specs

Apart from dual rear camera, front camera would still remain 5-megapixel but is expected to capture better images in next generation of iPhones. Rest of the specs that you can expect are ; Apple A10 Chipset (probably 2.2 or 2 GHz), 3GB RAM, 16/ 64/ 128 GB Storage etc.. TSMC is expect to get produce large number of chipsets.

There is rumor that 16GB variant may not be available, but this is not likely to happen. There are many users who buy 16 GB version, because they either don’t use more storage or can’t afford to pay more. However, Along with 16GB Apple may or may not release a 32GB Variant.

The Display Size would remain the same as 4.7-inch for iPhone 7 and 5.5 inches for iPhone 7 Plus, but iPhone 7 Plus may feature a 2K display. We also expect wireless charging feature.

3.5 mm headphone port and waterproof feature

Apple has been working on Waterproof feature silently, and iPhone 6s is the one to proof so. iPhone 6s water test was surprising, it was submerged in water for 30 mins and didn’t die.

Recent leaks suggest that Apple is getting rid of 3.5 mm headphone port to make the device real waterproof. The company will supply a wireless headphone along with new iPhones.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Pricing

We expect iPhone 7 to be sold for around $750 for the basic version if 16GB variant is available, else it will reach around or over $800. iPhone 7 Plus 16GB Variant is expected to be priced at $850, if the most basic is with 32GB would go over $900.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus release date

Apple usually releases new device in September, so we expect iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to be announced in September 2016.
