XIaomi Mi Edge is coming
You must have heard about Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi5 Plus, but Xiaomi Mi Edge is on rumor now. Xiaomi is working on a high-end smartphone to answer Samsung’s S6 Edge.
XIaomi Mi Edge and its rumored Tech Specs
Xiaomi has ben rumored to launch Mi Edge, but the specs what we found is doubtful. According to rumor, Xiaomi Mi Edge will features Finger Print Sensor, 5.2 inches 2K display, curved screen etc.. It could be once sided curved like Note 4 Edge or curved at its both side like S6 Edge.
What made us doubtful is the chipset/SoC. According to the latest leak, Xiaomi Mi Edge would feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. Xiaomi has already used Snapdragon 810 in Mi Note Pro, and I don’t believe that Xiaomi would downgrade the SoC in its high-end smartphone. It is one of the company that always uses the best available hardware. However, nothing is impossible.
The display size, resolution, finger print sensor and design makes it Galaxy S6 Edge competitor, but the Chipset would throw it far behind in performance. So Xiaomi needs to think about it if this rumor is really true. Xiaomi Mi Edge can be much better if it arrives with MediaTek Helio X20 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
