Xiaomi Mi 5 is the next upcoming high-end model of Chinese Company that recently announced Mi 4c. Xiaomi Mi 5 has strong possibility to features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC, and we will tell you why.

First of all, Xiaomi Mi 5 should have been launched so far according to its previous history of Mi 2, Mi 3 and Mi 4 launch,at least in the recent event when they launched Mi 4c. However, they are still holding it, because Qualcomm has not launched Snapdragon 820 SoC. Electronic Industry Analyst,Pan Jiutang also confirmed that Xiaomi Mi 5 completely depends of Snapdragon 820 launch, it could arrive by the end of this year if Qualcomm manage to supply the required number of chips. Leaksfly also confirmed via Weibo post that Xiaomi Mi 5 will features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 Chipset, 5.2 inches Full HD display, 4GB RAM, 16/32 GB ROM, 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera, and it will be powered by Android Lollipop 5.1.1 SoC. Well, we expected a QHD display, but it seems Xiaomi wants to limit it to its Note series devices, and this would be the primary difference of it upcoming Mi Note 2 device.

Another reason that makes us believe that Mi 5 would feature Snapdragon 820 is the Xiaomi Mi 5 Benchmark score. Xiaomi Mi5 scored above 73000 in Antutu benchmark performance test, and Snapdragon 810 can never reach that high.

Along with those technical specification we also expect Finger Print Sensor and USB Type-C port in Xiaomi Mi 5 and Mi Note 2. Both the smartphones could arrive at the same time, Mi Note with the larger display (5.7-inch) and Mi 5 with compact one. The display size, resolution and camera would only be the difference in these 2 smartphones.

And one more device I forgot to tell, Mi Pad 2. This is the one that has been rumored to come with dual-boot system. You would have the opportunity to choose Windows 10 or Android OS. There is one more possibility that Xiaomi may launch 2 versions of its Mi Pad 2. It would be launched by the end of this year for sure,Pan Jiutang also confirmed it.
