Online Violin: Play, Record and Download
Play a four-string virtual violin, explore its chromatic fingerboard, record phrases and download your performance as a WAV file.
For more playing room: rotate your phone to landscape.
Explore a virtual violin fingerboard
This responsive online violin gives you four playable strings and a complete chromatic fingerboard without requiring an installation or account. Tap a finger position to hear the corresponding recorded violin note, or use the displayed keyboard rows on a computer. The visual layout makes the relationship between strings, positions, and pitches easier to understand.
Mark notes and practise patterns
Turn on note names when you are learning the fingerboard, then hide them for a memory exercise. The marking control lets you save several positions as a scale, interval, or chord shape. Use Play marks to hear the selected positions in sequence and clear them when you are ready for another pattern.
Record your playing locally
Press Record, play a short phrase, and stop the take when finished. You can replay the exact timing and finger movement before downloading the result as a WAV audio file. The sounds and recording workflow run in your browser; your performance is not uploaded.
When this tool is useful
Students can use the violin to revise note positions, compare intervals, test melodic ideas, or practise recognising pitch away from their instrument. Teachers can demonstrate the four-string layout during a lesson. Fullscreen mode provides a larger playing surface, and the landscape mobile layout keeps every position accessible for touch practice.
