Top Preferred Email Providers in the United States by Age Group

When we talk about Email Service Providers, we all know Google leads as far as number of users are concerned. Today we will tell you the top email service providers in the US according to consumers’ preferences that have been categorized by age group.

According to survey, most of the teens use Gmail account as their email primary address. Around 74% of teens voted for Gmail, Yahoo managed to get second position with 12% of teens, 7% teens voted for Outlook, and rest of the teens uses other email accounts that includes iCloud, AOL and some other service providers.

Why do people use email in the United States

We use email for various purposes, e.g. to communicate with friends, family, clients etc., to shop online or use websites that require users to register. Cloud Storage and social messaging apps have reduce the usage of email. We used to send images, docs and many other files via email, but now we send it via a Social Messaging app or send a link to Cloud Drive. Apps like Telegram let you send files without getting worried of size limit.

Note : The data is based on many surveys, so it won’t make 100% if you add all. For example, out of 100 people 51 of them agreed that they use email for Online shopping, so it has been considered as 51%. These users may or may not have agreed to use email at work.
