Pat-a-Tap turns every letter from A to Z into a different combination of sound and color. Press a letter on your computer keyboard to hear its assigned audio clip while a large colored circle appears, changes hue and smoothly contracts into the dark canvas.

Try individual letters to learn their sounds, repeat one key to build a visual rhythm, or press different keys in sequence to create your own spontaneous audiovisual performance. Multiple effects can overlap, allowing every pattern to look and sound slightly different.

Responsive Controls for Computers and Phones

Desktop and laptop users can play directly with the physical keyboard. On a phone or tablet, use the responsive A–Z buttons beneath the animation. You can also tap anywhere on the canvas to trigger a random letter, sound and color at that position.

Select fullscreen mode when you want a larger performance area. The animation automatically adjusts to the available screen size, while the mobile keyboard rearranges itself into rows that remain easy to tap.

Create Your Own Visual Music

There is no fixed sequence or score. Fast key presses create energetic overlapping circles, while slower input produces a calmer series of isolated sounds and shapes. Use headphones or speakers at a comfortable volume for the best experience.
