Before and After Image Comparison Maker

Compare two images with a before-and-after slider

Show what changed between an original photo and an edited version without asking viewers to switch between separate files. This free image comparison maker aligns two pictures in one frame and lets you move a divider across them. Use it to review photo edits, restoration results, product changes, artwork revisions or room makeovers.

How to create your image comparison

  1. Choose your Before image and After image. The sample landscape lets you try the controls before uploading.
  2. Select a landscape, widescreen or square canvas, or match the original image’s proportions.
  3. Choose Fill frame to crop both images to the same shape, or Fit full image to keep their edges visible.
  4. Drag the slider left and right, or switch to a top-and-bottom comparison.
  5. Set your labels, export width and download layout, then download the PNG.

Slider view or side-by-side download

The current slider view saves one flattened image with the divider position you selected. Side-by-side mode places the two aligned images next to each other. The export width is the final overall width, including both panels in side-by-side mode. The downloaded PNG is a still image; the movable slider works on this page.

Get a useful comparison

Images taken from the same viewpoint give the clearest result. A different camera angle or crop can make unrelated areas appear to line up. Use the alignment setting to decide whether cropping or empty borders is more appropriate for your subject. For privacy, remove personal details before publishing a comparison.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Focus the comparison slider and use the arrow keys to change the split position.

Is the tool free?

Yes. You can compare images and download the result without creating an account.
