3 little bugs that Google Android Lollipop should be corrected soon
Lollipop Android 5.0 is the biggest change in the platform from Ice Cream Sandwich, and as with all major changes, came with some other error. We’ll review three of them we have found.
The launch of a new OS is always a critical time for development companies, because despite doing extensive testing processes, there may arise some bugs or faults that they don’t want to provide to any consumer. At other times, the problems are neglected in rush to launch the product. It’s something we’ve seen many times, but probably we remember most is the experience of iOS 7, after being officially released still contained many of the failures of the beta versions, such as frequent reboots or unexpected application closures.
For Android 5.0 Lollipop, so far people have not found any serious errors, but some small and annoying that are not too hidden; let’s discuss them.
Lit light disables the camera
As we know, one of the great new features of Android 5.0 Lollipop is your new notifications panel, which now also find sliding keyboard shortcuts that were introduced (on another tab) in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. However, it is not best how those controls but the new buttons are shown defendants length; flashlight and rotation lock, which was already in tablets but not cellular. But all that glitters are not gold, because if we leave the flashlight goes on until one, we cannot turn it back on or access the camera, instead it requires a reboot to return to normal.
The manual synchronization does not work
When using a device with Android 5.0 Lollipop or another version, it is normal to be frequent users of Google services like Calendar, Contacts, Google Keep, Gmail, etc. Since the beginning of Android, such services are synchronized by push, but in some cases the battery consumption is excessive, so Google enabled the option to manually update. Thus, data is received only when the user runs the option to “sync now”. In Android 5.0 Lollipop option does not even appear at first, and of course “cancel synchronization”. However, the bug comes when unmark a service from the list, for example “Google+” and return to the menu to look again “synchronize now.” At that time if it appears, leave synchronize at the time, but the surprise is that the adjustment does nothing.
Aggressive RAM management
Longtime has been rightly said that Android is not necessary task-killers or RAM management applications, since the system is smart enough to keep the apps you need and close those that are not priorities for the user. However, some users are reporting that Android 5.0 Lollipop closures apps in the background are very frequent, bringing multitasking experience falls sharply. Paradoxically, considering that what’s Google power to the new view and 3 GB RAM of Nexus 6.
Where are the widgets on the lock screen?
The launch of the Nexus 4 came with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, besides the above mentioned settings panel that it brought the widgets on the lock screen. Due to it, we could enjoy long with earnings quality Dashclock or Twitter client Falcon Pro. With the arrival of Android 5.0 Lollipop, the options gone to add, because now there are default notifications another of the great innovations of the system. While in some cases can be substitutes, there is no other way to have something similar. We appreciate the new features, but deprive the user and the community of the former is not always the best option.
