Ever wished you could tickle the ivories, compose a little tune, or share a musical idea without needing a real piano? Now you can with our easy-to-use Interactive Web Piano! It’s a fun musical playground right in your browser, perfect for beginners, kids, or anyone looking to play a few notes.

Playing is Simple and Fun

Getting started couldn’t be easier. You’ll see a beautiful piano keyboard on your screen.

  • Click or Tap: Just use your mouse to click on the white or black keys, or simply tap them on your touchscreen device. You’ll hear the note play instantly!
  • Use Your Keyboard: Prefer typing? The piano keys show which computer keyboard key corresponds to which note (like Z, X, C…). Just press the keys on your computer keyboard to play.

See the Notes (Or Don’t!)

Want to learn the note names or remember which keyboard key plays what?

  • Show Note Names: Use the “Show Note Names” toggle switch (usually near the top) to display the musical note (C, D, E, F#, etc.) on each key.
  • Show Key Bindings: Use the “Show Key Bindings” toggle to see the corresponding computer keyboard character (Z, X, C, S, etc.) on each key.
  • Hide Them: Want a cleaner look? Just toggle them off!

Record Your Masterpiece

Heard a melody in your head? Want to capture your practice session?

  1. Hit Record: Click the “Record” button. It will light up (often red) to show you’re recording.
  2. Play Your Tune: Play the piano using clicks, taps, or your keyboard.
  3. Stop Recording: When you’re finished, click the “Stop” button. The app will tell you how many notes you recorded. (Note: Recordings have a generous time limit, often around 30 minutes).

Listen Back Instantly

Want to hear what you just played?

  1. Press Play: After stopping a recording, the “Play” button becomes active. Click it!
  2. Enjoy: The piano will automatically play back your recorded notes exactly as you played them, even showing the keys being pressed.

Share Your Music with the World (or Just Friends!)

Created something amazing? Want to share it?

  1. Click Share: After you’ve recorded something, click the “Share” button.
  2. Link Ready: The app automatically generates a unique web link to your recording. This link is instantly copied to your clipboard! You’ll see a quick “Copied!” message pop up.
  3. Paste and Send: Paste the link into a message, email, or social media post to share your tune.
  4. Manual Copy: The shareable link will also appear on the screen, usually below the main buttons, along with its own “Copy” button in case you need to copy it again later.

Listen to Shared Tunes

Did a friend send you a link? Just click on it! The web piano page will open, automatically load their recorded music, and display the link. Simply press the “Play” button to hear their creation.
