ZTE Nubia W5 could be the first Windows Phone with Snapdragon 801

Several weeks ago, Microsoft announced its new version of mobile operating system, but so far only Nokia has announced new devices with Windows Phone 8.1, the Nokia Lumia 630 and Nokia Lumia 930. Windows OS for Phone is the third major platform aftercAndroid and iOS, and is slowly gaining ground in the competitive mobile world. However, the company requires that manufacturers bet on this OS, because there are no phones to sell. Redmond has already announced new agreements and the future launch of Windows Phone. One company that is working on a Windows Phone smartphone with Chinese brand ZTE. It has not been officially confirmed, but the ZTE Nubia W5 already been leaked with the possible picture and specifications.

The rumor came from the home country of ZTE, China, where they have released an image of ZTE Nubia W5 Windows 8.1 Phone. The indication is that this is going to be a high-end smartphone, which could even exceed in some aspects to Nokia Lumia, and ZTE Nubia could be the first windows smartphone in Windows Phone history that will be launched with Snapdragon 801. The design of the phone draws attention as the screen goes to the edges of the chassis. Its shape is quite rectangular with slightly rounded corners and the front has three capacitive buttons that appear to be outside the screen. A new feature of Windows Phone 8.1 is that the touch buttons can be integrated into the screen itself.

Apart from the image, some possible technical characteristics has also been leaked, as mentioned, it seems that the ZTE Nubia W5 compete in the most advanced high-end. The processor would be a Snapdragon 801, a quad-core processor with Krait 400, that kind of processor are found in the high-end smartphones, like Samsung Galaxy S5 or Sony Xperia Z2. On top of that it would have 3Gb of RAM that can compete any other Windows phone launched by other manufacturers, and could offer a really fast performance. If  you have a look at the specification of Nokia Lumia 930, it will be launched with 2GB RAM,Snapdragon 800, 32GB internal storage (no card slot), 2420 mAh battery. And the spec list of ZTE Nubia W5 windows phone continues with a storage capacity of 64 GB capacity. The ZTE Nubia W5 would also have a thirteen-megapixel rear camera, and a battery of no less than 4,500 mAh. No clue on the screen, but can expect a panel of at least five inches and FullHD resolution. So, it seems ZTE is going to beat Lumia by its specification though Nokia is own by Microsoft itself.

Microsoft has announced that there are 17 manufacturers betting on Windows Phone and its range of devices will increase in the near future. Apart from ZTE , the list also includes names like Lenovo, Samsung, LG, HTC, Huawei or Prestige.
