Xiaomi MiPad

Beijing, 15th May (Thursday),  Xiaomi presented its latest flagship and first tablet, called MiPad. Xiaomi is the same Chinese company who hits a record breaking 15 million pre-orders for Xiaomi Redmi Note. Xiaomi MiPad is a 7.9-inch tablet that looks like Apple’s iPad mini, but just two major difference that iPad has a metal body and run on iOS, but Xiaomi MiPad has a plastic body and customized Android 4.4 OS called MIUI. According to CNET the new User Interface perfectly resembles iOS7.

As far as technical specification is concerned, It seems Xiaomi has given its full effort and tried not to miss anything. Here you are!

RAM: 2GB

Processor: Nvidia quad-core Tegra K1 processor

Internal Storage: 16 GB / 64 GB (supports MicroSD upto 128GB)

OS: Android 4.4, Kitkat (customized version called MIUI)

Primary Camera: 8MP

Front Camera: 5MP

Battery: 6700 mAh

Display: 7.9-inch ( resolution: 2,048 x 1,536 that almost matches Apple’s Retina Display)

Well, there is one bad thing that can make some users not to buy this tablet: Xiaomi MiPad will be launched with WiFi version only, and there is no words about its 3G or LTE version if they are going to launch in future. There is no any specific date when MiPad will be launched, and the countries name has not been mentioned as well where this device will be available. In China, the Pre-Production launch will be in June when Xiaomi MiPad will be available for some selected users to test. It seems like, Xiaomi doesn’t want to hear any complaint after the launch, so they are so precautions.

Xiaomi is not much expensive like other tabs with the same kind of technical specs. It will cost 1499 Chinese Yuan (around $241) with 16GB storage, and 1699 Chinese Yuan (around $273) with 64GB storage. So, you can get what suits you the best.
