Samsung has launched its new model of Android Smartphones, known as Samsung Galaxy K Zoom. Samsung has given more care to the camera of this smartphone. Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is a high-end phone, but this phone doesn’t have the features like Samsung Galaxy S5, but only the basic features of a Android phone.

The Good

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom can serve you for both the purpose; good photography and the other usage what you do with your smartphone. It features a 20.7 megapixels front camera with Optical Image Stabilization and 10X optical zoom. There is a 2 megapixels secondary camera as well. Its 10X optical zoom can allow you to take better shots even from the distance.

Samsung Galaxy K Zoon consists a Six-core processor (Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 & dual-core 1.7 GHz Cortex A15), 2 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage (Expandable with MicroSD card, up to 64 GB). Samsung has launched this model with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS.

The Bad

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is bulky to hold in you hand, and the display doesn’t have the resolution like other high-end phone. The phone has a 4.8 inches display with 1280X720  pixels resolution, though the pixel density is 306 pixels per inch.

Samsung has made a camera phone, but CNet has tested the camera and reported that Galaxy K Zoom doesn’t make more differences in terms of picture quality against Galaxy S5.

Samsung Galaxy K Zoom has a price tag of £400 in its UK online store, in Australia it will cost around AU$749, though the phone has not been launched in India, but Amazon is taking pre-orders for 29,999 RS. If you use the currency converter to convert that £400 into INR, you might be surprised as it comes around 41,025 INR. So the phone is going to be far cheaper in India.

Conclusion

If you need an Android smartphone with the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), you don’t have much options, and you can go for this one, but if you need a good quality Camera as well as an Android Smartphone, this can not be the right choice. If I am not wrong, Moto G costs around £120 that has the same display resolution even with better pixel density (326 ppi). It also has Android Kitkat OS, but less in some other aspects, though it’s a great phone in this price. So, buying an Android Phone in this price, and using another £280 for a compact digital camera makes you smarter, and I am sure this amount can make you buy a far better camera than Samsung Galaxy K Zoom has.
