This is the time to think about changing you operating system and turn to Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. After Windows XP, it might be Windows 7 that will not get updates.  Microsoft has announced on Wednesday that the Microsoft Office version Office 2010 Service pack 1 will no longer receive support from January 2015.

Well, it’s not just office 2010, but the Windows 7 that is used widely around the world, will not receive any support from Microsoft, and this include all version of Windows 7: Professional, Ultimate, Home Basic, Home Premium, Enterprise (32 bit and 64 bit). The support will end on January 13, 2015.

Apart from this, there is a huge list of the OS and the services that will not get support from Microsoft. For the full list please visit this page: https://support.microsoft.com/gp/support-reaching-end-2nd

The intention of these changes might be that Microsoft wants to focus on the latest version of its platform: Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, which is compatible with mobile devices. Thus, looking to compete with other more widespread Operating systems for mobile: Android systems.

Windows 7 was launched in 2009, but since the late last year failed to sell as a separate product. These days computers come with Windows 8 pre-installed. Microsoft has announced earlier, that gives the users enough time to switch to another operating system, and the option left is only Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.
