LG G5 Release Date

It’s been a couple of months and we have heard many rumors and leaks about LG G5, and finally it shows up on GeekBench 3. First of all, let us remind you a leak where LG G5 showed up with 3GB RAM. The detail showed up in this leak seems to be fake as LG G5 has been found with 4GB RAM on Geekbench 3. The expected design of LG G5 was also showed via a drawing, and a Weibo user mentioned that LG G5 would feature Iris Retina Scanner. However, we haven’t heard anything later about such feature, and it seems we won’t get anything more than a usual Finger Print Scanner.

LGE LG-F700S as LG G5 Geekbench 3 Benchmark Score and Tech Specs

An LG device with the model number LGE LG-F700S has gone through Geekbench 3 performance benchmark test, and there is nothing to surprise from the LG G5 Benchmark Score. LG G5 features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 CPU, and it scored as good as Mi 5 Benchmark. LG G5 scored 2248 in single-core performance and 5061 in multi-core performance.

LG G5 Geekbench 3 benchmark

LG G5 has been found running Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 Operating System as expected, and the device features a quad-core 1.6 GHz Processor. However, all 4 cores would not be clocked at 1.6 GHz. We expect 2 cores to be clocked at 2.1 or 2.2 GHz and rest 2 will be clocked at 1.6 GHz, just like Xiaomi Mi 5.

As far as rest of the specs are concerned, LG G5 is expected to feature a 5.5 or 5.6 inches 2K display, 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM plus MicroSD card slot to expand, 20-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera.

LG G5 Always On feature

LG has also leaked one new feature for LG G5 as “Always On.” LG G5’s display will never sleep like other smartphone’s display does. They posted an animated GIF that shows the display in black color and some notifications icon, date, time and day. However, we assume that LG will allow users to turn on or off this feature, and will also optimize battery for this function so that it won’t consume so much power.

LG has already confirmed to announce LG G5 in MWC 2016. LG will hold an even on February 21 at 14:00, and you already know that the event will take place in Barcelona, Spain. Along with LG G5 LG will also release a couple of other gadgets.
