iPhone 6 production delay

So far, all the rumors related to the launch of the next iPhone had targeted the presentation of two different versions: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. It was expected that both the version will be launched in September or October of this year, when Apple usually release its new devices. The fact is that the launch of 5.5 inches version in September does not seem so clear.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a note in which he talks about the restrictions that exist in the supply of components for the 5.5 inches iPhone 6. Mr kuo has provided the most accurate information about the Apple products in the past. Apple is having issue with the touch panel and the color combination of 5.5 inches iPhone 6, because Apple needs to make diffrence between the two version of the iPhone, and as we know Apple also launches “c” version these days, like iPhone 5C. So the iPhone 6 with 5.5 inches might be delayed, and will be launched in 2015.

It is possible, that these incidents have been aggravated due to the new screen size. iPhone 6 could get outfitted for the first time with a sapphire crystal glass that will make it a tougher phone to bear accidental bumps and scratches, but the issue with the big display is creating problem for Apple to use crystal cover, as this is the first time Apple is jumping to that big display with iPhone. Apple iPhone 6 with the 5.5″ display might have touch sensitivity issue in the edge of the phone.  These all might be the reason for the delay, because it’s Apple that will try its best to launch a perfect phone, and will keep the brand name.

Ming-chi Kuo also said the Apple’s iWatch is also facing production issue, and might not go on sale before December 2014. In any case, if 5.5 inches iPhone 6 is released in 2014, it is likely to happen in November or December.
