Similarity

Display Size, Resolution, RAM and Secondary Camera remain unchanged for all three models.

Difference

Storage : Redmi Note 3 and Note 3 Pro both are available with 16GB and 32GB storage version, but Xiaomi has now followed Apple business trend and didn’t launch Redmi Note 4 with 32GB storage. You can either go for 16GB or 64GB version.

Redmi Note 3 Doesn’t support MicroSD card, but Redmi Note 3 Pro and Redmi Note 4 both let you expand storage with MicroSD, up to 256GB.

Battery : Xiaomi has boosted 100 mAh power with Redmi Note 4, and that’s why it is 11 grams heavier compared to other 2 models. Redmi Note 4 features 4100 mAh battery, and rest 2 models feature 4000 mAh. All the models support fast charging.

Camera : As we already mentioned that front camera for all three models come with the same feature. However, Redmi Note 3 Pro seems to have the best camera among all. Redmi Note 4 features a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture that should be little better compared to Redmi Note 3, but Xiaomi has decreased 3-megapixels in the newer model compared to Redmi Note 3 Pro (16MP) keeping the rest of the feature unchanged. All the models feature dual-tone LED flash.

Design : There is no difference between Redmi Note 3 and Note 3 pro as far as design is concerned. Redmi Note 4 also looks same from the back and front, but the edges look like Xiaomi Mi 4.

CPU and GPU

Redmi Note 3 : Mediatek Helio X10, Octa-Core Cortex-A53 2.0 GHz, PowerVR G6200 GPU.

Should I upgrade to Redmi Note 4

You Should Upgrade

If you are the owner of Redmi Note 3 (Mediatek Version), you can upgrade to Redmi Note 4. It will boost the System as well as Graphic Performance. You can also increase Storage Capacity as this model supports MicroSD, and also comes with 64GB Storage option.

You Shouldn’t upgrade

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (Snapdragon version) features better GPU as well as rear camera. There isn’t so much difference in Antutu score for both the models. Single-core performance score for Redmi Note 3 Pro and Redmi Note 4 is almost the same, according to Geekbench report. Redmi Note 4 does beat rest 2 models in the multi-core score but do remember that most of the applications on your device never get a chance to use 10 cores. The performance of the device primarily depends on Single-core performance. If you want to upgrade, find something better, not the device with similar or lower performance.
