Update : Redmi Note 3 is official, and it’s not Redmi Note 2 Pro
After a couple of leaks and rumors, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro finally showed up with its full technical specifications. It has gone through Tenaa certifications, and they listed the device with its full tech specs and images.
As far as technical specification is concerned, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro would feature the same tech specs as existing Redmi Note 2; 5.5 inches Full HD display, 2GB RAM, Octa-core 2.0 GHz Mediatek Helio X10 chipset, 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera, 16GB ROM plus MicroSD card slot, 3060 mAh battery etc..
Redmi Note 2 Pro VS Redmi Note 2
What makes Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro different from existing model? It’s the metal body, and a Finger Print Sensor at the back. The Pro model may also have another variant with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and 2.2 GHz Mediatek Helio X10 processor.
In terms of pricing, Redmi Note 2 Pro would certainly cost more than existing redmi note 2. However, Xiaomi always keep the price fair, so we expect Redmi Note 2 Pro 16GB with 2GB RAM to cost around 999 Chinese Yuan that roughly makes $157.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro was expected to launch on 11 November, but it didn’t happen. Along with this model, Chinese company is also due to announce Xiaomi Mi 5. Xiaomi could announce both the model in the same event. Leaked image of Mi 5 didn’t have any physical button, so it was being said that Mi 5 would not feature any Finger Print Sensor. However, just like Redmi Note 2 Pro Xiaomi Mi 5 may also feature finger print sensor at the back.
