We have already seen two amazing smartphones from Motorola: Moto X and Moto G. These two models still have good responses from the users. Moto X was the high-end smartphone, though Moto G was mid-range with good features. Motorola mobility has already been acquired by Lenovo, and today I am here with the Motorola’s latest flagship: Moto E. This smartphone is going to be launched soon and the pre-order is already available on Motorola website, if you order, you will be charged immediately. Moto E cost just $129, and available in two colors: Black and white, and the device comes with the latest version of Android OS (Android 4.4, Kitkat). Let’s know more about this smartphone.

Display and Design

Moto E Display

Motorola Moto E has a 4.3″ display. This size is a little above the most basic terminals, which are typically four inches or even below. With this device can easily view the content, but at the same time is manageable with one hand as well, and you don’t to trouble your second hand everytime like we do with phablets. The panel has qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels), which is not bad for a terminal in this price range. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has been used for protection.

The design is quite classic, rectangular shape with slightly rounded corners. The  Motorola Moto E can be considered as a compact smartphone. The thickness is 12.3 millimeters and weighs 142 grams, that could be adjusted for a 4.3″ display smartphone.

Camera and Multimedia

Moto E multimedia

The terminal incorporates just one camera in the back, leaving apart the possibility of video calls with a front sensor. Its 5MP camera allows you to take pictures of 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution. With this size is more than enough to see the photos on a bigger screen and even print them if you wish. However, their use is limited to situations in good light because of no LED flash. What it does have are basic functions like auto focus by touch, geo-tagging and providing panoramic . It also records videos as FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) at a frequency of 30 frames per second.

The terminal is well prepared to play all the video formats, images, music or documents. The list of supported media formats includes all the common formats, so there will be no compatibility issues. Finally in this section, we highlight the integration of a FM radio , but yes, you need a headphone to play the radio.

Operating System, Power and memory

The  Motorola Moto E integrates a dual-core processor. Specifically it is a Snapdragon 200 operating at 1.2 Ghz, accompanied by an Adreno 302 graphics chip and 1GB RAM . With this configuration, the  Motorola Moto E can run the usual processes fluently. Motorola included the latest version of Android OS (Android 4.4, Kitkat). This release features enhancements such as caller ID, slight changes in the design of the interface and general optimization which makes it work well even on phones with very basic configurations

The internal memory of  Motorola Moto E reminds us that this is a basic smartphone. The manufacturer has only included 4GB capacity, of which approximately half will be available for users. With this background it will be necessary to use Micro SD card 32 GB maximum).

Connectivity

Moto E GPS

The Motorola Moto E has a suitable profile in terms of connection to serve the current needs. Its greatest weakness is that does not have 4G, but is a function that is usually reserved for high-end. Instead you can connect via mobile networks 3G , for which you can browse 21 Mbpsand even sharing the connection system WiFi Hotspot. Whenever possible you also have access to networks WiFi , so enjoy increased speed and save step data contract rate. Following the listing of connectivity we have a wireless port Bluetooth 4.0 antenna GPS Glonass, Connector Micro USB jack and headphones.

Well, If you need a smartphone with the latest feature, and you are not much interested in photography and video calls, Moto E can save your money. You can absolutely go for it, but if you are looking for great shoot and video calls, look for something else.
