We have been listening and reading everywhere that iPhone 6s and 6s Plus would feature 2GB RAM, and even after the announcement, the RAM part and the processor remained a secret. Apple just mentioned A9 chip, and that was all.

Earlier Abode leaked iPad Pro RAM in its blog while mentioning new abode photo editing app for iPad Pro and its specs. They clearly mentioned that iPad Pro features 4GB RAM, but it has been removed now. We still have the screenshot that you can see here;

Along with Abode confirmation, Xcode also confirmed 4GB RAM for iPad Pro, 2GB RAM for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Hamza Sood tweeted with the screenshot that you can see below;

iPhone 6s Plus and iPad Pro RAM confirmation Xcode confirms iPad Pro and iPhone 6s Plus RAMThis is not the first time, someone is talking about 2GB RAM to come up with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Apple didn’t bother to upgrade RAM in iPhones since 2012 when iPhone 5 was launched. However, they upgraded RAM type from DDR2 to DDR3.

A9 QUAD CORE CHIP

There is also rumor that A9 Chip is not a dual core chip, but combination of 2 dual-core chip (1.7GHz+1.2GHz). However, we spotted geekbench 3 score for Apple A9 Chip, that scored 2090 in single-core performance, and 3569 in multi-core. If that report is true, it cannot be a quad-core chip.

There is no information about iPad Mini 4. As Apple said, they used iPad Air 2 hardware, so it is expected to feature Apple A8X chip and 2GB RAM.
