Update : HTC One A9 is launched officially

We have been confused about HTC’s new flagship model name. It was called HTC Aero, HTC Hero and HTC A9, but the latest leak revealed the real name to be HTC One A9.

The real model name got exposed when HTC One A9 showed up on Geekbench. According to geekbench detail, HTC One A9 would feature 64-bit deca-core 2.0 GHz Mediatek Helio X20 (MTK6797) chipset combined with 4GB RAM. It would be running on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OS.

HTC One A9 Geekbench 3 Benchmark Score

Single-core performance score : 1835

Multi-core Performance score : 5884

HTC One A9 with deca-core chipset

HTC One M9+ has Mediatek Helio X10 inside, and falls under high-end smartphone with huge price tag. So HTC One A9 would certainly be more expensive. Along with deca-core chipset, it is expected to feature a 5.5 or 5.2 inches QHD display.

If we talk about the announcement, there are many devices that would arrive with Mediatek Helio X20 SoC, like Elephone P9000, Zopo, Acer Predator 6 and now HTC One A9. However, only Elephone P9000 has the official release date of 20 October, so this could probably be the first smartphone to feature deca-core chipset.

29 September is the big day when HTC would unveil its 2 high-end smartphone, probably HTC One A9 and HTC Butterfly 3.
