The HP Pavilion x2 is a hybrid machine that can be used as a laptop as well as a tablet; simply remove the detachable keyboard. In the tablet mode, the keyboard can be used in various positions to facilitate viewing of the screen. The battery offers the power of up to 11.75 hours, more than enough for a day’s work. The casing has a matte finish in stylish silver ash. It’s a really lightweight machine that weighs only 870 grams as ultraportable. Instead, the tablet only weighs 550 grams. The screen touch has a diagonal of 10.1 inches, HD screen. It features an LCD display with 1280 X 800 pixels resolution.

As usual, above the screen there is a webcam with dual-microphone that offers full HD resolution. It features intel HD graphic. HP Pavilion X2 belongs to the Intel Atom family, which include an Atom Z3736F quad core processor that operates at a speed of 1.33 GHz and 2MB cache. Leaves the factory with 2GB of DDR3L RAM installed on board. For the audio, it has two speakers installed, and features DTS surround sound. The full keyboard’s keys are slightly smaller than standard keyboard. It also has a touchpad that supports multitouch gestures.

HP Pavilion X2 comes with Windows 8.1 OS. The HP Pavilion x2 memory unit incorporates a 32GB eMMC for storage. Anyway, the manufacturer offers free space in the cloud: Dropbox and Box. Capacity can be expanded using SD memory cards. Regarding connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.0 but also Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n. The Wi-Fi , of course, is compatible with the Miracast technology, which allows viewing movies, websites, and applications of a mobile device to a compatible TV and the big screen. HP has also added HDMI ports, two USB 2.0 and one output of combined headphones with microphone input (3.5 mm).

The tablet PC incorporates several sensors , some common in mobile devices such as the gyroscope and accelerometer. HP will start distributing HP Pavilion x2 in October, and will cost $329.99.
