Android 5 lollipop

It’s not been long when Android Lollipop has been introduced, which is the next version of Android OS after Android 4.4 Kitkat. Nexus devices have become the first to get Android Lollipop, and the other top devices from the major companies, like HTC , Sony , Motorola , LG or Samsung will receive it later. But you must be curious to know what development Android 5.0 Lollipop has brought? The vast majority of users may be updated from Android 4.4 KitKat to Android 5.0 Lollipop, so you will notice significant change after the update.

1) Lock screen 

You would be able to unlock the screen by sliding your finger from left to right, and can access more system notifications, manage options smoothly and enjoy album artwork in full screen while playing music.

2) Notification system 

Now the notification is not there in the drop down bar, rather it floats on the home screen which make it more interactive and animated. If you touch once you will see the complete notification, and if you touch twice you will be able to see more information.

3) Quick Setup 

Now you will have the access to the settings adjustment and system configuration quickly. You can simply tap twice on the scroll bar to get the Bluetooth Settings, WiFi Settings, battery information, Display settings etc.

4) Settings Menu 

Now the settings option (gear icon) will be shown in black icon with white background, instead of the classic gray screen. All options are in the same place, but just the appearance is different.

5) Application Tray 

Now the all kind of screen will be shown in the full white screen, and you will notice that icons are larger and colorful. Google has also added the Effects to turn the page, which we have already seen in Android 4.4 KitKat.

6) Camera

The navigation buttons will not fade immediately in Android Lollipop. No significant changes and further, each device will offer a different user experience and options.

7) Multitasking

It’s not a new thing. We have already used this feature in Android devices, but we have to indicate that Android 5.0 Lollipop considerably improved. You will notice that it is much easier and smoother moving between applications. A quick tap will be enough to close all at once.

8) keyboard 

You will see that this tool has been updated. You’ll see blue or white (depending on the user’s choice), new support for gestures, emojis, smarter predictive and a voice dictation system. Fortunately, these developments can also be availed by Android 4.4 KitKat users who want to download the keyboard via Google Play.

9) Dialogue box of calls and contacts 

There is no major change, but the changes in colors only for contacts and the call dialogue box.

10) Clock & Alarms 

You won’t find much difference in the clock and alarm in comparison to Android Kitkat, just the color and appearance of the buttons  have been changed, with a more cheerful and colorful appearance. The features remain intact.

11)  Gallery

The Gallery appearance of will depend on smartphone manufacturer. However, it should be noted that Android 5.0 Lollipop is also linked directly to Google+ Photos application, as well as the ability to perform automatic backups for images also remain in tact.

12) Battery 

You will observe that it has been given a touch of different design and has added new energy saving mode, which have have already been implemented by many manufacturers.
